You have made heaven and earth. Incline Your ear, O LORD, and hear; open Your eyes, O LORD, and
see; and hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God. Truly, LORD,
the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands, and have cast their gods into the fire;
for they were not gods, but the work of men’s hands - wood and stone. Therefore they

endure His indignation. Thus you shall say to them: 'The gods that have not made the heavens and the
earth shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens.'...Every metalsmith is put to shame
by an image; for his molded image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. They are futile, a work

coming and shall come, let them show these to them. Do not fear, nor be afraid; have I not told you

commandment. And the second, like it, is this: "You shall love your neighbor
as yourself." There is no other commandment greater than these.' So the scribe said
to Him, 'Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is
no other but He. And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with
all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than
all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.'" (Mark 12:29-33).
